Cypress Tower is tomb of Mrs. Sharf Ul Nisa the sister of Nawab Zakria Khan who was governor of Lahore in the era of the Mughal King Muhammad Shah Rangeela. This tomb is famous with Sarrowala Maqbara. It is situated in Begumpura, Near UET, G.T. Road, Lahore. This tomb was constructed within 1735 to 1740 A.D. Begum Sharf Ul Nisa made this tower reading Quran and for worship of Allah. She use wooden stairs to climb the 2nd story. This tomb has two storeys. When she died, this chamber which was made for worship of Allah which were changed in tomb. She was pious women. Flowers shapes and Sprucefir trees shapes were made on tiles of external walls of this tomb. Due to this, this grave were famous with Cypress Tomb. There was a big garden and compound around this tomb. Dai Anga tomb is near to it. This was last and worth mentioning construction of Mughal era. In 18th century, the Sikh rulers think that there is a treasure in this tomb. They dig this tomb but there was no treasure.
